Parents, You Are Extraordinary.

February is Parent Leadership Month, when we celebrate parents' many contributions to helping build strong, healthy communities filled with promise and prosperity. Later this month, we will highlight three of Tennessee's own "Unsung Heroes," individuals who best represent the resilient spirit of parents.

Despite being one of the most important roles many people will have, parenting often can feel isolating, exhausting, and underappreciated. And so, we want to remind you that this month—and every month—we see, celebrate, and appreciate you.

You are nothing short of extraordinary.

In honor of Parent Leadership Month, this month's Call to Action for parents is to extend your grace as you navigate the beautiful, messy, and joyful parenting experience.

For all others, our Call to Action is to do one thing to support a parent in your life. This can be offering to take their children to the park for a few hours so they have time to recharge, ordering a family meal or cooking one and dropping it off, or as simple as letting them know they're doing a great job.

We hope that you will join us in recognizing the critically important but so often overlooked role parents play in our communities. Share this post in honor of a parent you know and love, or leave a comment below with other ways we can support parents this month and beyond.

Healthy parents create healthy families that are the heart and soul of our communities. Thank you, as always, for helping build safe, stable, and nurturing environments for children.
